Tuesday, 1 June 2010, Singapore – Concorde Hotel Singapore invites you to experience the vibrant flavours of Indonesian cuisine, passionately prepared by Chef William Wongso, renowned Food Consultant and Critic, Accomplished Restaurateur, Host of the TV cooking programme ‘Ceritarasa William Wongso’, and Culinary Advisor for Garuda Indonesia.

This Ramadan, you are able to join Chef William Wongso as he brings you authentic Indonesian Cuisine that is guaranteed to please your palates. Both Muslims and Non-Muslims will enjoy this delectable buffet spread, which will be served Poolside, under the stars.

Hailed as one of the best in the Indonesian culinary scene, Chef Wongso boasts over 30 years experience, and is known for his skills in Indonesian, Asian, and Western cuisine. Since making his debut into the culinary scene in 1977, Chef Wongso has had the honour of preparing delicacies for Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Vice-President Jusuf Kalla and U.S Secretary of State Hilary Clinton. Chef Wongso was also responsible for introducing signature dishes such as Western Sumatra Caramelized Beef Curry, Beef Rendang and the mini Nasi Tumpeng to Garuda Indonesia’s in-flight menus.

The Buka Puasa buffet dinner by the Pool will showcase his pièces de résistance– Western Sumatra Rendang (caramelized beef curry), Goreng Bandeng Presto (fried soft bone milk fish with bandeng presto); and gastronomic gems such as Asinan Jakarta (pickled fruits and vegetable salad with soft-shell crabs), Rawon Buntut (East Java Kaluwak oxtail soup), Saté Padang (Western Sumatra veal cheek satay), Saté Daging Kelapa Madura (Mandurese spicy grated coconut satay), Saté Udang Jawa (Java prawn satay), Goreng Bandeng Presto (Fried soft bone milk fish with bandeng presto), Seafood Nasi Goreng (seafood fried rice with tumeric spices), Kecipir ( stir- fried wing beans and white bait) and Balado Terong (fried eggplant with red chilli salsa).

Our dessert counter will feature a wide array of sweet temptations, including Chef Wongso’s Sarikaya Crème Brulée, Es Cendol, Es Teller and Kolak Durian with Sticky Glutinous Rice.
