Concorde Hotel Singapore Receives Outstanding Individual Award from the National Safety and Security Watch Group

JULY 2016, SINGAPORE – Concorde Hotel Singapore is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Outstanding Individual Award from the National Safety and Security Watch Group (NSSWG), which recognises recipients of their active implementation of robust measures to enhance safety and security in their respective organisations.

“It is an extremely great honour to receive this prestigious award,” said Karl Muir, General Manager of Concorde Hotel Singapore. “We have a duty of care, both to our staff and to our customers, so we need to be well prepared at all times. We take security of our guests very and we will continue to strive to maintain the highest possible security in our property.”

Concorde Hotel Singapore has invested S$200,000 in its safety and security measure, which includes equipment, training and infrastructure. We have also expanded our security checkpoint to set up a security central command centre. Our emergency response team also undergoes monthly drills ranging from bomb threat mitigation, firefighting and a joint advance external training conducted by the Singapore Civil Defence Force and police. Twice a year, the hotel also conducts joint exercises with national security forces in the Home Team.
